Would counseling be a good fit for you?
Your Counseling Perspective
How do you envision the counseling process?
What do you hope for by pursuing counseling?
Which of these images resonates with how you view counseling?
■ A maze in a jungle…as you search for a way to make sense of or get out
■ A pathway…on which you yearn for collaboration for the steps you seek on your journey
■ A mirror…from which you value reflective input on what may be right before you.
■ A light…for you wonder what it is you might be missing or can’t see right now.
My Basic Counseling Approach
Many people begin counseling because they want to make sense of or make a change in their life. Current scientific research supports that humans benefit from safe and supportive interactions with others. My therapeutic approach is to create such a secure environment where we can collaborate together toward helping you achieve a sense of direction and peace. This requires a blend of the client’s active participation and the therapist’s empathetic objectivity.

I currently do not contract with insurance companies.
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act (PHSA) in a new law called the No Surprises Act effective 1/1/2022, healthcare providers and healthcare facilities are required to inform individuals, both orally and in writing, who are (a) uninsured or (b) who are electing to not use their insurance or (c) are self-pay, of the availability of a "Good Faith Estimate" (GFE) of expected charges. Providers are required to provide notice of this orally and in writing, and providers must give this GFE to anyone who fits the above categories and asks about fees/payments or scheduling.
